In stark contrast to the Legion’s brazen strength, the Society of Shadows embraces the subtleties of espionage and arcane research. This covert wing is the Court's information-gathering arm, tasked with infiltrating enemy strongholds and acquiring secrets through methods that leave no trace of their presence. The Society employs spies, researchers, and enchanters who operate in absolute silence, unraveling mysteries and laying traps that twist the political landscape to the Court’s advantage. Through curses whispered into the wind, assassinations that vanish into the night, and plots that fracture alliances, the Society ensures their masters remain forever ahead. Knowledge is both a weapon and a shield, wielded with finesse to achieve victory unseen.
The Shadow Master is the role of the lead of the Society of Shadows, the founder of the branch and group in charge of gathering information, both current news going around and ancient knowledge and trinkets that could be found in the way of expeditions, research and spying. The Shadow master is indeed the shadow that oversees it all.
This is the role of the second in command, the most trusted one and the most active spy in the Crimson Court, a being that can change into shapes and blend in the shadows, one that can become one in courtly rooms and thus also be able to stalk from the darkness of the wilderness. The whispering voice that sees it all.
The Wraith's are those that have proven themselves capable and willing. They have overseen projects and helped further the goals of other shadows. They are mentors and veterans and should be heeded.
Honorific: 'Shadekeeper'
The Third Rank of Society. This rank is allowed to have more independence and autonomy among the Society of Shadows, and also one that has more responsibilities than the previous ranks, for while the Wraiths are overseers of many projects under the scrutiny of the Shadow Master and Shadow Hand, the Shades are in charge of organizing parties for specific tasks. So if any higher command needs something done, they may tell a Shade to help gather the assets and resources to make it happen.
The Second Rank of the Society. Having grown as a known investigator or researcher and having been an active part of several missions they have gained recognition among the ranks. They have become somewhat seasoned and able to assist shades in their missions, while also accomplishing smaller projects on their own.
The first rank of the Society. Here to learn and eventually join one of the many specialties that the society offers. Tasked with working alongside the other roles until they earn their own spot.
A Society of occult creatures and magi cannot be what it is without the help of supernatural beings or extraplanars that often offer solutions be it out of loyalty and bonding or a price. Devils, demons, extraplanars that have a bond with a caster of the Society often fall into this category, usually feeding their own goals, whilst furthering that of the group.
Crafters, forge masters, artificers, alchemists. Researchers can have great influence for they can forge items, artifacts and even magical trinkets which can help the House or be sold in exchange of goods or coin.
Links are forge and sometimes last. These are contacts that provide information regularly to the Society, enough so they are to be protected and watched over.
